“I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.” – John 6:51
Jesus Christ invites us to return to the Source and Summit of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
As requested by Bishop Medley, nearly 50 parishioners of St. Mary Magdalene Parish gathered on Sunday, March 12 for the first of three Eucharistic listening sessions.
Draped by a beautiful Sorgho sunset, the gathering took place on the Knott Family Farm near the church. There, parishioners shared prayer through Adoration, witness talks, food and fellowship. The participation was spirit-filled.
Topics discussed included the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, quarantined without the Eucharist, personal transformation through the Eucharist, how to share one’s faith in the Source and Summit of the Church, and more.
