Christians join together to pray for unity
BY WKC STAFF
On Jan. 26, 2025, First Christian Church in Owensboro hosted the annual Prayer for Christian Unity.
Fr. Ray Clark, director of the Diocese of Owensboro’s Office of Ecumenism, said that those attending were not large in number, but that it was “a wonderful service.” A special guest this year was Bishop John Stowe of the Diocese of Lexington, Ky.; other local clergy also spoke.
A meal afterwards provided time for fellowship. Next year’s Prayer for Christian Unity gathering will be held on Jan. 25, 2026, on the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul. It will be hosted by Third Baptist Church in Owensboro.
