Young adults experience God in nature during 2026 hike retreat

BY WKC STAFF

Over the weekend of April 17-19, nine young adults attended The Journey, a Catholic retreat experience along the North Trail at Land Between the Lakes.

“Solvitur Ambulando” is a Latin phrase attributed to Saint Augustine which roughly translates to “In walking, it is solved.” Using this as the theme, the Diocese of Owensboro’s Office of Youth and Young Adult ministry designed this two-night, two-day, 23-mile-long retreat to help young adults find the space and time to listen to God in the stillness of creation.

The Journey takes place twice a year, with one retreat in the fall and one in the spring. Those interested in future retreat opportunities can contact Charlie Hardesty at [email protected].
