Quo Vadis camp provides opportunity to pray about, discern God’s calling

This summer, from June 14-17, the diocese’s Office of Vocations hosted its inaugural Quo Vadis summer camp at Gasper River Catholic Youth Camp and Retreat Center in Bowling Green.
The camp provided an opportunity for high school aged men to experience sports, prayer, brotherhood, and dynamic conversations with other young men, with the goal of helping them answer the question “Where are you going?” – which is the translation of the Latin phrase “Quo Vadis,” the words Christ said to St. Peter.
Whether the young men were ultimately called to marriage, priesthood, or religious life, the camp focused on helping them grow spiritually and to discern their callings as disciples of Jesus.
In addition to daily Mass, Adoration, and camp activities, the participants also helped build storage/maintenance shed for Gasper River’s Tower #68 property.
