Feldker ordained to transitional diaconate for Fathers of Mercy
BY MIKE NOLAND, SPECIAL TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY CATHOLIC
Rev. Brother Zachery Feldker, CPM, was ordained to the transitional diaconate for the Fathers of Mercy community of priests on June 8, 2024, at the Chapel of Divine Mercy in Auburn, Ky. He was ordained by Bishop William F. Medley of the Diocese of Owensboro, where the Fathers of Mercy are based.
Now that he has completed this step, he will spend a few weeks this summer assisting at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in Wisconsin, which is the site of the only approved Marian apparition in the United States.
This assignment is especially significant because it was while visiting the shrine that he made the decision to answer his call to the priesthood and to the Fathers of Mercy.
